Really beautifully presented, from the colours to the train.
I was interested in the plugins you used, if you wanted to talk about them. Bipsi has always intrigued me, but I've never quite gotten to grips with it. I'm assuming getting the text be so central and stylised was done via them?
I think you should try bipsi by yourself, there's also a discord. All plugins are available from the GitHub as well https://github.com/Ragzouken/bipsi
You can style text natively, change font with a plugin or add color images background natively although I'm using a plugin here for color tiles but you could go with simple backgrounds as well
Feel free to ask questions on the discord, the community is quite supportive but you have to take your first steps alone first! 😊
There's a channel on Youtube that shares train rides in Japan and other countries, such as New Zealand or Australia. I love watching those train videos. It reminds me of that "contemplating, not doing" you mention. And the fact that those landscapes are so different from the ones I'm used to, here in Europe, really helps.
There's a bus line I took to and back from school every day for years and years. For years and years, the landscape didn't change at all. But now, both the landscape have changed (more houses have been built where there used to be fields) and the route has also changed (different stops). I miss the route and landscape from my childhood.
These are the nostalgic feelings your game inspired me. How sweet. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much for sharing what this evoked! Sometimes we want things to stay the same, yet change is the only constant in life! Enjoy your day :)
You really cooked with this one. I really believe that many places become characters in our life just because we spend so much time in them, and they don’t change. I’m glad the Kotoden line hasn’t changed for you!
Thank you very much for enjoying it! To be clear, this is a work of fiction, if I had to be one person in this story, I would be the "visiting friend" as I enjoyed the Kotoden and Enoden during my trips. But this made me think that foreigners would enjoy things that I take for mundane here because they have a different point of view. I often share everyday things with foreign friends who enjoyed them. That was the starting point of this story :)

Really sweet little story, big nostalgia vibes, and capturing the beauty in the mundane elements of everyday life.
That is very appreciated, thank you very much!!
Relly nostatic feeling you captured there. Well done!
Thank you very much for playing and enjoying it! Much appreciated!

(Also, great music.)
